Walk-ins are welcome at both Greensborough Road Surgery and Watsonia Road Medical Centre.
All patients will be triaged by our staff and given an appointment suitable to the urgency of the matter.
Consultations for both our doctors and nurses are by appointment only and every effort is made to meet your needs of preferred time and doctor. Please phone during practice hours to make an appointment, otherwise you may book online by utilising our website. A standard consultation is 10 minutes, if you require a longer consultation please advise when making an appointment. This helps us to schedule our day more effectively and help reduce waiting time for patients.
Longer consultations may be necessary for:
- Insurance medicals
- Women’s health checks
- Multiple concerns
- Travel health
- Multiple patients
- Skin checks
- Family planning
- Minor surgical procedures
- Mental health
All new patients require a long face-to-face consultation for their initial appointment.
All new patients are required to make a pre-payment of $82 (Medicare rebate of $39.75) at least 24 hours prior to appointment time to confirm the appointment.
Test Results / Recalls
Patients are responsible for scheduling an appointment with their doctor to receive results following a test. Reminder and Recall systems from within this Practice, and as advised by the State or National organisations are used in this Practice to provide ongoing, continuous and preventative care. Patients are asked to advise their doctor if they do not wish to be included.
Home visits are available to our regular patients that have a debilitating condition/palliative care and live in the local area; however, we cannot guarantee the patient will be seen on the day in which the appointment was requested. Home visits require a fee for service and will not be bulk billed.
Reminders / Preventative Health
Greensborough Road Surgery or the Doctor will initiate a letter or a text through Auto Med to make an appointment for various reasons. i.e. cervical screening, bowel cancer screening.
